SIMP version 2 

The Standard information management plan version 2 was developed through extensive collaboration between SFT and the Project Information Handover Working Group  to drive consistency and standardisation in how handover information is specified, and digitally delivered on Scottish public sector projects.

The resource focuses on the development of information requirement sets, which can be repeatedly adopted and shared by clients to help achieve mapped outcomes at organisational and project levels.

The workbooks and content align with BS EN ISO 19650: 1 and 2 international standards, BSRIA BG79; Handover Information and O&M Manuals and CIBSE Guide M; Maintenance engineering and management.

It was released in July 2022 and initially deployed on phase 2 of the Scottish Governments £2bn Learning Estates Investment Programme (LEIP). It has also been adopted by many contracting authorities on their non-LEIP capital projects. A resource arrangement and breakdown is provided below.
